TRC TEMPORARY RESIDENCE CARD

Dear all I’m married to a local girl here in Vietnam 🇻🇳 and I recently requested a TRC Temporary Resident Card but the government officials in charge of this told me that because I have a working permit with a working visa sponsor by the Company I’m working with I can not get a TRC until I get a tourist visa and then I can get a TRC !!! Does anyone know any other way than give up my working permit and change from working visa to tourist visa ?? Kind Regards

I was an expat, left again 2019 due to family reason. Right now I try to help my nephew with his internship in hcm

F.I. ... DN Visa ... VOA is no longer available at entry airports.

Visa must be applied for at VN Embassy prior to departure.

AND (most important part) you MUST have a company sponsor.

OB .. of course .. previously DN Visa was granted based on a letter of invitation from Vtnmese Company .. now the Company must apply to Immigration Dept. in Vietnam for Immigration Letter of approval .. before, with this letter,the choice was VOA or Vtnm Embassy .. now it’s Embassy only.

Cost at airport $50USD .. cost at Embassy $100USD !!
