Hello all,

I am switching from my current company to a new company in SG.

My current salary is around 11K and the new employer is offering me exactly the same amount but with an additional AWS and Yearly bonus based on the performance.

Is there any rule that when you switch you should essentially have a salary increase? My increment is not in the monthly take home but additional benefits like AWS and Yearly bonus. Should there be an at least some % of hike for EP consideration from previous salary?

Nope, no such considerations. It’s your choice to switch jobs based on personal and career preferences.

Im in a similar situation but its been around 3 weeks now.. still pending on the system.

Hello all, my EP has been approved.

I have a question on DP. My wife's passport is expiring in 6 months starting from yesterday. DP applications will be filed tomorrow. We have been staying in Singapore already and she holds a DP under my existing EP.

Do I need to first apply for passport renewal and then apply for DP or is it ok to go ahead and get DP and in parallel I can also apply to renew her passport?

Will that impact the DP application??
