Has anyone found a paved bike path around Saigon? Could be within 1 hour or 90 mins by car from D1. I'm looking to ride for a few hours but prefer paved paths and no off road gravel. Looking for suggestions for a Christmas holiday ride with friends. Thank you.

I never bought a bicycle because the roads are crap. The only place that comes to mind is a short route in Phu My Hung. (If you don't know the area, use google map.)
From Nguyễn Văn Linh, peddle south on Nguyễn Đức Cảnh. It follows a canal so no cross-traffic.
You can ride around the Crescent Lake residential area too.
Mostly wide clean streets, less traffic, none of the usual street vendors, trash in gutters, cans of burning "money".
Also, early on Sunday mornings, you see bunches of fit Vietnamese men on Italian road bikes on Vo Van Kiet. Not a bike path, it's a highway tho!
