Hi Everyone! Its nice to have friends here...

Hi I'm new..both to this site and here in Oman..I find the country interesting and the culture very rich(as I was able to witness a local wedding). Everthing is blindingly white..and I am in much awe. However, I am also crippled with fear especially in dealing with the people. I'd like it very much to have sincere friends to welcome me.
Thank you and looking forward to have fun here. ;)

Hello mabel.echaluce & welcome to Expat.com!

I hope that you will have a lot of nice contacts here.;)

Harmonie.:)

hi and welcome. evn i m new o this country , moved only two weeks back ,but honestly i dread life ahead here with no contacts and no seemingly chances(i knwo its too early to say that but keeping fingres crossed). May be once it gets cooler , outside life will seem attractive as of now...it is quite boring.

yes thank you harmonie.
@she21: I'm looking forward for the colder season also..the heat is too much than what I'm accustomed to..all I do is go to work and then go home after.

When does the weather get good here and what are the nice places to visit.
I don't see much information loaded on internet for nice places to visit during weekends.

Hi iam@rohit,

An introduction of you would be much appreciated. :)

Hi Christine

How would you like me to be introduced?

Regds

Hi,
I think i got it and did it :-)
Cheers!

Hmmmm,

Here you dont need the internet to get places, you need a car and a driving license, then you can see heaven, as you know it, I know it, I have seen some parts of it in just 2 months time.

wellcome to your 2nd country , we wish happy staying in Oman , my country is very peace & Safty place . The people are very friendly, this country is very green in some places and very clean every where , i recommend you to visit some wonderful places such as Salalah at july and August from every year , Nizwa ( Jabal Akhdar ) , Quriyat & Sur , Rustaq & Nakhal .

hi!i've heard from friends that salalah is truly wonderful but its too far from muscat, given that we only have one day off every week. But once my workmates have been there when a customer got wed in that place. Too bad I was not here yet in Oman during that time.
Oh well. We'v been to Jabal Shams last week.It was very far but the view is fantastic. Also we've been to Ruwi to visit the sultan's palace.we took pictures there and we were able to borrow a bike from one of the kids playing there. it was fun.
