The airline company, Emirates, will double the frequency of its flights to Mauritius. Also in the news, it is going to get cold over the weekend.

Aviation: Emirates to double its daily flights to Mauritius 

The road to recovery for the Mauritian tourism sector. The airline Emirates is doubling the frequency of its daily flights to Mauritius. In addition, from July 1, the flights will be served exclusively by Emirates' Airbus A380 to accommodate more passengers. This decision will help meet an increase in demand for flights in the market. Since the beginning of the year, arrivals on Mauritian soil are constantly increasing. The government's objective is to reach the 1 million tourists mark by the end of this year.

Consumption: no increase in the price of the ‘maison' loaf 

The price of bread remains unchanged. Indeed, the Minister of Commerce has rejected the proposal made by the Association of Bakery Owners during the past week. Thus, the price of the ‘maison' loaf remains at Rs 2.60. Other proposals such as subsidies for the production of flour or bread were put forward during a meeting between the two parties. The minister will announce his decision after further consultation.

Weather: thermometer will drop to 13 degrees this weekend

The minimum temperature will vary between 13 and 15 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 17 and 20 degrees Celsius on the coastal areas, while the maximum temperature will vary between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius on the central plateau and between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius on the coast.
