The Kreol language is full of funky expressions. This week, we bring to you ‘Lev pake ale'.

You might hear this one in the streets, especially around election time. Lev pake ale" can't really be translated literally, but if you tried, it could be translated as "get up and go". You can use it when a friend/relative/colleague is sitting in your seat, for example. A quick "lev pake ale", and they will understand that they need to change seats.

"Lev pake ale" is also used when there is dissatisfaction with the performance or decisions being made by a government. As elections approach, you will often hear or even read on signs, "lev pake ale".
