Here's the fish vindaye recipe. It's a quick and easy dish and can be served as a side dish, with white rice and grains, in faratas or simply with bread.
Ingredients
- Vindaye spices
- 2 fish fillets
- 1 large onion, cut into chunks
- 2 green chilies
- Chopped parsley
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbs of curry powder
- Chopped coriander
- Oil for frying and cooking
- Salt and pepper
- 1 glass of hot water
- Methi seeds
- 2 tablespoons of mustard seeds
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1 large piece of green saffron
- 2 small red chillies
Preparation
Cut the fish filets into slices.
Marinate with salt and pepper.
Mix the vindaye spices with a little water and stir into a paste.
Fry the fish slices and set aside.
Heat the oil and add the spice paste.
Add the chopped tomatoes, parsley and onions and cook for one minute.
Add the fish, salt and mix well.
Add a glass of hot water. Let simmer for a few minutes.
Remove from heat and garnish with chopped coriander and chillies.
