Position Overview:
We are seeking an Ink Formulation Chemist to lead our ink formulation development. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of innovative UV ink products for a variety of applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Formulation Development:
o Design, develop, and optimize UV ink formulations for various applications.
o Maintain a systematic approach for ink formulation, ensuring consistent quality and performance.
• Testing and Validation:
o Conduct comprehensive testing of ink properties including adhesion, durability, colour, rheology, and cure speed.
o Validate the performance of new ink formulations through standardized and application-specific tests.
• Collaboration:
o Collaborate with the R&D team, sales, and application teams to understand market needs and tailor formulations accordingly.
o Work closely with raw material suppliers to stay abreast of the latest technologies and innovations.
• Documentation:
o Maintain detailed records of ink formulations, testing results, and production procedures.
o Prepare technical data sheets, safety datasheets, and other necessary documentation.
• Scale-up and Production Support:
o Assist in the scale-up of ink formulations from lab scale to production.
o Troubleshoot production issues related to ink formulation.
• Continuous Improvement:
o Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to UV inks.
o Drive continuous improvement initiatives in ink formulation processes.
