How easy is it to pay your property taxes from out of the country?

Sharon Tzib

Pizza by GuidoBisogno

How is the pizza in Belize? Any good places? Any take and bake available? Thanks!

Sharon Tzib

Pepperoni's is my favorite pizza on the island. Both Mr. Greedy's and Yoli's make very good pizza in San Ignacio. Driftwoods in Hopkins is by far my most favorite anywhere in Belize. I find the pizza here is different than the U.S. The sauce ... Read More

Sharon Tzib

I moved here over two years ago and have honestly never felt like a foreigner a day I've been here-I now call Belize my home, not the U.S. Maybe it's because I made a point of befriending the locals, learning and accepting their culture, and always ... Read More

Pat, is your land on the ocean or lagoon side of the island? Wood stilt homes are very popular on the back side of the island - I lived in one up North. The San Pedrito area where a lot of locals live back by the lagoon use that type of construction ... Read More

Just make sure you get a reputable realtor who can make sure you have a proper title search done so you are sure you have clear title. Title scams are a big problem in Belize. Working directly with a seller is not advisable, in my opinion. Read More

Working as a lawyer in Belize by Lollard

I think attorneys are one of the professions in Belize that you can earn a very decent income from. The main reason is diversification of your services. In Belize, most attorneys do not specialize. For instance, my attorney can set up a trust, an ... Read More

What area did you move to, Cherrie Red? For me, up here in Cayo, it doesn't make sense to go over to Chetumal. I head to either Spanish Lookout or Belize City for my sheets and towels. Or sometimes, I'll have my "shipping mules" (i.e. visitors lol!) ... Read More

FIRST TIMERS TO BELIZE by danielsbreeze

Hello...we are planning to rent for six months in San Pedro...looking at condos at the Yacht Club or the Reef Village Resort....any suggestions ??

Both are very nice and well run establishments. If you prefer to be walking distance to town, then the Yacht Club would be a better choice. Reef Village is located right over the bridge "North" of town. You could still walk to town, but a bike or ... Read More
