Anybody living in Vilcabamba or Loja? by ActionMgt

You never see anything posted about Vilcabamba or Loja on this forum. Just wondering if anybody lives there that could tell me what it's like, if they like it there, and what the availability might be for renting a 2 bedroom small house with 2 ...

Thanks for the advice. Are you living in Quito? I heard that Quito is very cold and densely populated. We would like to rent first outside of a city in a more country area where we can have a huge yard and our own organic gardens. We love mountain ... Read More

We have been praying about moving to Vilcabamba but we are also open to moving somewhere on the outskirts of Loja or perhaps somewhere in between Vilca and Loja. I have also been looking for an English speaking non-Catholic Church but to no avail. I ... Read More

Any Spirit Filled Born Again Churches in Vilcabamba? by SteveRitchie

I just retired from law enforcement but I have also Pastored a Spirit Filled Church on Long Island since 1996. Are there any English speaking Full Gospel Churches in Vilcabamba? If not, would anyone like to start one?

SteveRitchie

My Bible tells me that only God is our judge so no one should be judging others to hell. For "all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God." Therefore Christ's true servants must share the whole gospel by citing the words ... Read More

I agree that it is a shame that all who profess Christ cannot come together as one body of believers. The real problem is that many are preaching "diverse and strange doctrines" that the apostle called, "doctrines of demons." ... Read More

Then someone needs to start one. Jesus said, "Where two or three are gathered together in My Name, THERE AM I IN THE MIDST OF THEM." We are still not certain when we will be arriving in Vilcabamba as we have allot of things to take care of ... Read More

Wow, I did not expect such fast responses. Thanks for your insight. However, I can't imagine placing my eight year old into an all Spanish speaking school. He would need to have special attention and a special class taught by a bilingual ... Read More

Thanks for the reply. We are attracted to Vilcabamba because there are many expats living there. If we were going to live in a city we would probably pick Cuenca over Quito. I'm thinking that there might be a small expat school or an expat home ... Read More
