My parents were immigrants from México. Moved to the USA in the 60's to provide a better life for their children. I was born in Oakland, CA. After high school, I attended CSU, Chico. In 1986 I started my first teaching job in Reedley, CA. I went back to school and earned another degree in counseling. I moved back to Northern California in 1992 and began my counseling career in Red Bluff. I retired from education in December 2016. I have been married to the same amazing woman for 38 years. We have four great children, 4 grandchildren, and no pets. My wife is also retired and we are looking to explore Costa Rica to see if it is the place for us.
