I have been a science teacher in the US for many years and after recently visiting Vietnam, I have decided to move here. Lately, I have been teaching at a predominantly Hmong/American school in the US. I rapidly became fascinated with Hmong culture and decided to spend 2 weeks in Hmong villages in northern Vietnam and Laos. I am learning bits of Hmong language as well. My visit got me more interested not only in Hmong culture but also the other ethnic minorities in this region. Further, I was introduce to the Vietnamese culture. I feel, at this point in my career, I would like to "give" something to humanity in the form of education. I am a Science teacher and am certified to teach English as a foreign language. For the modest pay I would receive teaching here in Vietnam, I would enthusiastically teach English and Science to young learners and adults as well. Side note - I used to be an Operations Supervisor for American Airlines, Inc. Chicago! AA Something special in the air!
