I'm retired now and living in Germany, but first came to Kenya in 1970 as a volunteer and ended up doing two stints, for 5 years, three years in Nyeri and 2 years in Nairobi. I also came back for 3 years in 1987 and lived for three years in Tigoni. I have run a private company promoting savings group work in Africa and continue to coordinate a website that tracks the performance of more than 600,000 such groups worldwide.
