I am an American English teacher looking for work in South Korea
Miembro desde el 04 Marzo 2020.
ESL/EFL Teacher/Business owner. Started our own business in Rabat to try and get our carte de sejour and residence visa. Got locked down during Covid, forced to return home.
The weather was great. It was fairly easy to get around.
Hard to make enough to live on. Taking money out of country very hard due to closed money system. Frustrating bureaucracy .
I was a Native EFL/ESL teacher at a kindergarten/academy school. We toured a lot of the country in the 2 years we were there and saw many amazing awesome things. We hope to return someday, at least for visits.
The people were friendly and helpful. Even if you didn't know much Korean, they'd help you. Just a few words or phrases was enough to get by. Do try to learn the language, though, it is fun and helps with the culture a lot. It is safe and easy to travel. Good medical too, especially if you have a work contract.
Not much. Not that there wasn't anything bad, but nothing I can think of I would put down.
