Introduction

Ex elementary school teacher who loves Vietnam and especially Ho Chi Minh City. Just retired and renting a house here. Get around by bus and just enjoying my first free time. I have spent vacations here before so not a "beginner" but looking forward to getting to know Vietnam and it's culture much better than I do now.

I joined expat.com on 13 October 2011.

Expat experience

Since October 2011

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Living in Go Vap District. Enjoying taking life somewhat leisurely. Hope to work on some private projects dealing with my collection of old Vietnamese postcards (scans with me; originals back in the USA) and translating an old book about Saigon from French into English AND learning some Vietnamese!

Everything EXCEPT the humidity!
