Making a will, owning a condo in Thailand by bobmomusic

How should one go about registering a will for my wholly owned condo in Bangkok and other assets?

Vlad Doguilev

I spoke with couple different local solicitors and it would be much better to simply make a will for Thai assets in Thai & English languages. Would have to do it myself in the near future and simply cross-reference the other will for assets ... Read More

Tax laws. Is it happening? by Teatowel

I've just been watching some videos about these new tax laws. I was intending on renting out my apartment here in Australia and living on that money plus some savings account interest. Both are taxed here at the full rate but now I understand ...

Passing a driver license in Thailand - what's the process? by Sonia_says_yes

Hi there, I am finding it difficult to understand the process of taking a few lessons then passing my driving license in Thailand, specially (but not necessarily) Bangkok .It's my understanding that it's pretty straightforward here, but who should I ...

Vlad Doguilev

@Sonia_says_yes - I did everything myself without giving bribes. It was simply faster to pass local DL test in Pattaya instead of going to verify in Australian embassy why our state authorities just mail change of address sticker. Same side of the ... Read More

Thai Visa Agency by marcson72

Vlad Doguilev

@marcson72 - stay overnight at any hotel and get their address for the bank from hotel bill, buy a local SIM from any 7-11 by showing your passport. Now it is a bit too late. For Australian passport holders giving a "fee" or technically bribing any ... Read More

Visas for Aussies changed? by Sourdough101

@Sourdough101 = just apply for a normal Retirement Visa in Thailand. Cost of additional imposed insurances if you apply in Australia is much higher. My former colleague from WA worked it out already. Combination of some money in Thai Bank as you ... Read More

Hi 👋 we are retiring to Thailand in May, we are a married 66 year old couple and want to know if the 800k is for both of us or do we need that amount each? midge

Vlad Doguilev
