Experiencia de expatriado
Happily married into a large family. Built two 125 sqm houses and one smaller CHB house over five years. Guardians of four nieces & nephews while Mom works overseas. (Dad died at home seven years ago. Kids now 13-18 yo.)
My dear beautiful wife (53, I'm 67), family all around, rural rice fields everywhere, open air market, reasonable drive to Angeles or Manila, great food (wife worked OFW for twenty years, can cook Indian, Arabic, Italian, Polish, Filipino & American), loving nieces and nephews, great neighbors and rural farm life, excellent solar installers & engineers, no winter!
It took me a while to adapt to these issues - chaotic driving compared to America, no parking lots or spaces, doctors offices & clinics closed when should be open, difficulty locating good quality building supplies / materials / hardware, no school transportation provided (every family has to drive their kids to school -- huge time suck), irregular electrical supply.
