The economy fell apart. Then we moved to Brighton. Disappointing- yes. Any regrets? No. I am unemployed and living here on a Tier 1 Visa while my partner is studying for a PhD at Sussex. We should be here for 3-4 years. I am interested in meeting Sussex people and any other souls that have a shared mission of getting to know the rest of the world better.

I have involved myself with volunteering at an umemployment agency as well as a historic preservation society. I am also training for a half-marathon this summer and putting some serious effort to promoting and developing my blog, mostly for fun and for practice.
The sea, the lovely people, the free spirit, the pubs.
There are hardly any jobs!
I worked for a small marketing company for 10 years, with 2 of those years spent in Nashville, Tennessee.
I lived right in the city so I saw a much different side of things than most Metro Area residents. I loved the city's history, architecture, museums, and raw nature. There is a large community of people committed to moving the city forward and they are amazing. I have an amazing group of friends/family that live here- it was very tough to leave them.
Crime, reliance on auto industry (for work and for transportation), too conservative, hot/humid summers, long distance to raw natural beauty.
