Well, I am a retired teacher after teaching for 30 years. I am currently substitute teaching in the San Diego area. The cost of living here is crazy. I keep dipping into my persion to make ends meet and that is not right. I enjoy traveling, in fact, I just got back from a fact-finding/enjoyment trip from Costa Rica and Panama. Had a great time. I dropped off my resume to several schools in both countries considering teaching at least part-time (English). I will be moving to somewhere in Central America this coming January, but cost of living is obviously an issue. It is hard to find hard facts about this issue. I am single, and don't need much to live on. I am more than willing to live the lifestyle the locals live (to a point). I have a pension of $1400 a month, but the information I get on-line is that you can live well from $750.00 to $2000 a month big difference and frustrating. I am desperately looking for advice on this matter. I am leaning towards Panama. I don't want to spend the money to move only to end up broke like I am in San Diego. What would be the point. HELP!
