I am adventurous with a curious nature and enjoy meeting people, immersing myself in new challenges and experiences. I am industrious, caring and practical, with the belief, you get out of life what you put into it, so I like to "work hard and play hard." I am married and have a Catalan wife Silvia and currently living in Terrassa. I have Scottish and English ancestors, so keen to visit the United Kingdom and trace my heritage. I am enjoying the food and culture of Spain. I have completed a CELTA Teacher Training for English Language Teachers at International House in Barcelona. Currently looking for work in Catalunya.

I am living in Catalunya which has a very favourable mild climate. Spain has a nice pace of life compared to other parts of Europe. The Spanish people enjoy celebrating and are very family orientated. The low cost and variety of food. Spanish cuisine is magnífico ! With the abundance of cheap airline departing from Spain there is affordable access to other place in Europe.
Dealing with Spainish bureaucracy can be very frustrating.Due to high unemployment there is a lack of jobs and Spain has a lot of illegal workers that don't help the situation. Compared with other parts of Europe Spain has low incomes. The Manana attitude of the Spanish people, putting things of and not being on time. The Spanish go to bed late and make a lot of noise in the streets making a sound nights sleep difficult. So much time is involved in searching for car parks. Spain has a considerable lack of public toilets.

The Kiwi culture of open, friendly, caring, honest and hard working people. We have easy access to recreate in the outdoors which is conducive to having a healthy lifestyle. The low density of people means we can enjoy seclusion when we chose it ! Peace and quiet and the beauty of New Zealand's natural environment. New Zealand has one of the lowest average property prices in the developed world, a better quality of life, low crime rate and a favourable tax regime.
