Finding a place to live is a priority when settling in Milan. Your experience will be of a great help for the members who want to settle in Milan.

Therefore, we have prepared some questions for you:

Is it hard to find a flat or a house for rent in Milan?

How to find a home in Milan: classifieds, real estate portals, real estate agencies?

How much is the rental for a house, an apartment?

What are the formalities or the required documents for renting an accommodation?

Which advice would you give?

Thanks in advance for participating!

Well, I used the easystanza.it website. It was definitely worth the 30 euros to make my account premium. I found a flat within about 2 weeks - living in it now.

Rent is expensive in Milan, twice as much as I used to pay. I would say for a room relatively central it will be 550+, more likely 650+. I guess it gets cheaper the further you are willing to move out. As I dont know the city I needed to be close to my work.

Look out for scammers! If you don't trust photos etc put them into tineye.com. Its not fool proof but I found a couple of scammers that way. Don't send any money via money transfer etc etc
