Good morning all,

Please I need advice from your experience. I had interview with UoB 5 months ago. I wasn’t officially communicated on the success or otherwise of my performance. However, I received an email last week demanding for my national number which I sent but nothing since then again.

Please is there any chance that I will be contacted or I should consider my self unsuccessful and apply for another job.

thank you for your assistance on this matter.

Difficult to say.  Just wait and don't resign from your current job until or unless you have the visa in hand (not just the job offer).

Thank you very much, it taking much longer than expected.

UOB is notorious for this.  The recruitment process takes a huge amount of time.  You are only at the first step.  If you get an offer then the visa process also takes a long long time.   That is why I said, do not resign until you receive the visa from them.  Some candidates happily resign after the job offer and then are stuck for 6 months during the slow visa process, without any money.

I was made an offer by Gulf University 5 months ago and am still waiting for HEC approval. How much time more should I expect? As it is a private university unlike UoB so would it take even longer?

See what I wrote already.  It can take a long time due to internal inefficient processes.
