Hadaba, Sea street, public beaches closed?

Hello all,

I lived in Hadaba for 7 years and left about 10 years ago. This November I had a chance to briefly go back there for the COP and decided to check out the old neighbourhood. One of the things I immediately noticed is that all the entries to the public beaches on Sea Street in Hadaba are closed up; fences with chains and padlocks, no way to get in anywhere.

I asked some expats living there about it and they all told me that indeed it's closed, but they don't know why or if it's going to open again or when.

Does anyone know why and when these beaches were closed? And if this is a permanent closure, or if they'll open again?

Thanks!
