Documents and my Visa.

Post new topic

I finished getting my documents certified (per the Hague convention) in the United States and was wondering if there was a way for me to now get the documents transcribed here in Cartagena so that I can submit the documents with my application to get my Visa / Cedula?

Dear Mr. Maikan,

If you can't find a notary or translation service in Colombia,

you are probably among the 95 percent of Expat

visa seekers who should be working with a visa specialist

(or an immigration attorney, which is more costly).

If you're determined to do it yourself, possible sources

of information include your landlord (if you have one),

your hotel's administration (if you're at a hotel),

folks at Inmigración Colombia and business owners

at the nearest central business district.

In relation to the issue of translations and getting things ready for a visa and cedula here in Armenia, I got my marriage certificate authenticated and translated at the local Notaria, you may want to try it could save you some money.  As far as getting your visa and cedula processed, I have a POC that can help you.  PM me if you are interested.
