Dears,

Anybody aware how does getting Cypriot citizenship influence non-domiciled tax status here? I never heard it automatically being cancelled however interested if anybody naturalized and still enjoying his non-dom

Toon

AFAIK once you have been resident here permanently for 17 years you are regarded as domiciled here .. however I believe there is a way to get round it .. but best bet is to take professional advice..

This may help https://www.mcmillanwoods.com.cy/cyprus … n%20tax%20(SDC).

Thanks Toon,

Yes, I mean if person becomes Cyprus citizen within this 17 years period, let's say in 10 years. Technically this person isn't 'foreigner' anymore. Does it mean he still be able to gain from non-dom till the end of the initial 17 years?

I don't think so.. but as I say am sure I have read somewhere there is a way to get round it
