What happens if I get caught by a speed camera in Germany?

Post new topic

happygirl88

Im from France and have been in Germany for a few weeks, exploring areas and visiting long time friends. Last week I was roadtripping from Hamburg to Bremen and I was caught speed driving on camera. What will happen next? Im pretty unfamiliar´with the system here.

@happygirl88 my opinoin is....waiting till you recieve any letter from department and let see what will they mention it.

In case you recieve a letter, you just need to pay for the charge of over speed driving.

All the best,

@romdoul  ive been told i should check out this website (https://www.punkte-flensburg.de/punktetabelle/) to kind of estimate what charge to expect but I hardly understand any of what's on there due to the language barriere

Any recommendations on websites for expats in germany for these specifically tricky situations?

@Aidan in HCMC alright thank you!!  i'll check it out later more in detail, but as far as I can tell, I'm not in risk of a driving ban 1f60a.svg
