Facilitation Visa Concerns

Post new topic

Hi,

I applied for facilitation visa last week in Azerbaijan. I am from Azerbaijan and my spouse is German living in the Netherlands for +15 years. I added our marriage certificate (translated and apostilled), sponsor letter from him (showing his address and BSN number), his payslips, travel itinerary, cover letter stating that I’ll apply for verification against EU law once I am in the Netherlands and promising I will not overstay my visa in case of any complications.

After seeing some rejection stories I am a bit afraid of getting rejection. (I also got three rejections for tourist and long distance relationship visas last year before we were married)

Are facilitation visas hard to get? Would my documents be sufficient (plus three past rejections)? I am a bit stressed.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Perhaps ask your husband to call his local IND office and ask what the problem is.  The IND website is down at the moment, but if you use this link, later on, the link to their contact information is at the top right-hand corner of the IND home page.

I suspect that the fact that you've now had 4 rejections for what is ostensibly a tourist visa, suggests there may be something fundamentally wrong and a face-to-face conversation may well clarify the issue.

I hope this helps.

@Cynic Hi,

He called the IND, but they said they don't go into the decision on visa refusal until there is objection letter.

And the thing is I applied in Azerbaijan, and here Dutch visas are processed in France embassy. So the objection letter should be sent to France.

I called the Dutch embassy in Azerbaijan, mentioned that I applied for facilitation visa and got refusal for "no justification for purpose of stay and doubt on intention to leave the territory". I said the reasons for refusal do not align with the purpose of this visa. They told me to send these all with email to them and they'll see what they can do. I hope they will do something on it that I won't go through objection process.
