Hello everyone!

So I was just wondering if there even is a way in 2022/23 for a guy from Slovenia (Europe) to teach English in Malaysia without a degree?

I'm 25 years old, spent my last 3 and a half years in the army, 2 of those in special forces (just wanted to mention it in case it matters in any way).

In 2018 I volunteered as an English teacher in Slovenia, also from about that time, I've completed the Cambridge English Level 1 Certificate in ESOL International.

I finished a TEFL 120hour course last month and that's basically what I've got.

Does anyone know if I can even get a work permit, and work in a private school with what I have?

I'm planning to travel around January 2023, and if nothing else, I'll just be on vacation =)

Thank you in advance =)

Hello Mad_Lad,

The thing is that while applying for your work permit, the employer/school will have to submit copies of your degree to the authorities for approval....

Let's wait and see what other members can propose as solution.

All the best,

Ahh, so a degree is indeed needed for TEFL teachers. Thank you!

For visa processing yes.
