Hi

i just arrived in Sao Paolo. I am from Switzerland

I am looking to do a course in Portuguese and make some friends.

Anyone else out there in a similar position?

I was about telling these Language Courses are a waste of money and time for no results.


Suddenly, it recall  the Sao Bento Monastery works with several emigres, and that if you can enroll, that might save you some money.

It's a Monastery, and the Friars run a bakery as well . Adjoined to the Church there is a School Building, If I am not mistaken.    They run programs, mostly for Children's


Also, being a Swiss Citizen, there are cultural associations where you can crash with locals to get your speaking skills up to speed.
