To find an apt at that price it's boots on the ground!  Go there and start checking out the streets and asking around. Luperon isn't that big so won't take long

Sadly polo that site is almost exclusively Santo Domingo with a but of Santiago. 

Planner they may have added because I literally look at it everyday just to see different areas and I see apartments and houses all over the country. You are right there are a lot for SD but I see many all over the country.

@polo1club What I wish google would do is update street view map for the whole country. They only have SD and Santiago in street view maps.  That's how I find all those good restaurants and learn the different streets and neighborhoods in SD and Santiago!

Everyone should be somewhat careful of Marketplace here. There are a lot of scams! Not sure it applies to rentals, but it very much applies to anything for sale!

I read a story where the person was moving out of his apartment , so he put it on a listing as if he own it , showing it to about five  people ( couples ) sign a lease with them so they could take control on the first of the month  they gave him two grand each as a down payment he moved out on the 29-30th of the month and they all showed up on the 1st.

the owner had no idea about any of them…….. so b careful who you rent from especially if your  going solo
