Does anyone know about the 100,000 Riyal per year iqama that one can get. Can one work in the iqama or do business on it like opening a store

This is the premium residency.

But to keep it simple, you can do a business as per foreign investment law (i.e. you can't do unrestricted business like a local can) and you can work in professions which are not restricted to Saudis.

The only benefit of this is that you are not tied to a sponsor.
