Hi there, my name is Falko German/Italian.

Was working in the Security sector.

Is there a demand for Security Close/ property protection, ect in Mauritius?

Heard there is little crime?

Beside English and German I speak Italian and Spanish (probably not needed on the Island)

Would be interested to know more about it.

How are the renting prices for a studio in the north?

How long can you stay as a tourist on the island?

Kind Regards, Falko

Hello Falko,

Welcome on board !

Feel free to read the Living in Mauritius Guide for expats you will find all the essential infos.

1 - To be able to work here, you need an occupation permit. In your filed, a job contract of Rs 60,000 minimum will qualify you for an Occupation permit ... However, jobs in security are performed by Mauritians and Mauritian companies and do not carry such a high salary as Rs 60,000 as an employee.

As an employer (investing and creating your own company) you might have a chance.

2 - In the family circle or thefts.

3 - Renting find out on the following websites : Housing in Mauritius, lexpressproperty.com, weshare.mu

4 - Tourist stay will depend on your nationality. Europeans normally 3 months + extension

Do read the Guide, you will find more in depth infos.
