Hello everyone! I'm interested in purchasing a car from a private party in Norway and driving it to Greece. Considering that I've read somewhere that you need a national ID to buy cars, could someone kindly let me know if this is even remotely possible? Once more, the vehicle is leaving the EU. Can someone please direct me to the right information regarding the procedure? I appreciate it.

Vegvesen has information on purchase and sale and it does say you need an ID number, but it may be possible to get a temporary ID (i.e. a D-number rather than an FNR) to complete this. You can contact them through the website to get more information
