International Calls & Texts Advice for US, Canada

ExpatUSATravels

For US and Canadian residents, when traveling abroad, I highly recommend a VOIP phone number that can work on all devices using XMPP protocol.

You can choose a company and plan that suits your needs. Then install a free app to make/receive calls and text messages.

I chose a company that:

*Allows you to pick a US or Canada phone number $2.99 USD per month

  • Gives Unlimited Text Messages

            (Inbound and outbound).

  • 120 monthly talk time minutes to all USA & Canadian phone numbers, or less minutes to other countries.

I can send you a link privately if wanting to try it out free for 30 days.

No risk.

No credit card numbers needed for free trial.

I do not work for the company.

I am just a happy customer so they allow me to give my friends a link to try it free.

If you like you can pay before end of 30 days to keep your number that you choose. Otherwise you forfeit the phone number.

This is fair and that is how I joined.

I liked the service and also the number I chose so I kept it.

Using it for about 8 months now.

I load 5 months each time onto my account. $15 USD for 5 months service. The company has expectations to raise the price sometime this year, but allows you to buy up to 3 years in advance if you wish at the $2.99 monthly rate.

All I can say is try it free for first month, see if you like it or not, then take it from there.
