Hello

Just got a job offer in Mauritius... just wondering if it is a good move to leave South Africa? We are a family of 4 (2 young kids).

Also considering the high cost of living in MUR (rentals, private schooling, food, etc) what would be a good salary? There are varying opinions on this topic.....

I think nobody can help you without knowing in what area you’re working, where you will be living and so on.

i am working in tax and accounting (in Europe) and was asking a local consulting firm what I can expect as monthly salary and I was told as an accountant 25k-50k depending on experience and that a salary of 60-80k is very good for locals. So for me it is not an option to enter the local Labour market.

Hi there,

My family of 4 (two adults, two young kids) recently moved back to SA from Mauritius.

Send me a message if you would like to know some of our experiences.

Regards,

Hello Himesh

I am retired and planing to come to Mauritius

I am British Mauritian.

I will be very grateful if you could share your experience to why you moved back to

South Africa ?

cost of living is soaring every where

is Mauritius not better ?

I lived in the North, where the weather is good.

Travelling backwards and forwards is proving expensive as airlines ticket have increased significantly.

Thanking you
