Hi
I applied for an e visa to arrive in vietnam on 2nd May which was approved.
I later realised a mistake that my arrival is on 1st May and therefor applied for another visa.
The second visa is still in processing.
After applying for my second visa I came to know that I Cann change my ticket for free if I want to.
Now in case my second visa does not arrives by departure, my first visa would still technically still be valid because second hasn't been finalized yet.
Suppose I enter vietnam on my first visa and while I am inside vietnam I get issued my second visa l, that would make my first visa invalid and second visa will be in effect.
Would I have any problems exiting on the second visa considering I entered through my first one?

My take on it...............yes you could/would have problems cos the entry stamp on your passport has a hand written exit by date & that is your valid visa.
@goodolboy
Thank you for the reply, however my exit date won't be changing in both visas. It's my entry date

Hi there Mojo91, and welcome to expat.com!
Technically, upon the issuance of the second eVisa (May1st), the first eVisa (May2nd) would no longer be valid.
This, as I said, is technically speaking. The immigration officer might accept the first eVisa, but he/she certainly has the option to refuse it.
From the gov't of Vietnam's eVisa faq page, here, scroll down to the bottom of the page to read:
V. Entry & exit with an e-Visa
5. What if I want to enter Vietnam before my e-Visa validity period?
You must complete a new e-Visa application. The previous e-Visa application will be cancelled once the new e-Visa is issued./.
If at all possible, I strongly advise you to follow the dates/conditions of your second application, if/when issued.
The second eVisa application's entry date is still two business days from now, so if you are thinking you might be able to enter prior to its approval, all I can say is that you're cutting it very close. Certainly, upon exiting, the immigration officer will see that you entered Vietnam on what is now a cancelled eVisa. Best to avoid the confusion/suspicion.
Again, welcome to expat.com, and please let us know how everything works out for you. We would certainly appreciate it, and your feedback/tips/observations will help others who find themselves in a similar position.

May I ask what your intended/stated exit date will be?

Again just some first hand info for someone who is on e visa # 6 think it is & exit/enter via MocBai tomorrow.
When I have exit & entered Vietnam via Moc Bai they have always asked to see a paper copy of my expiring visa.
However I have exit & entered Vietnam via TSN 3 times & twice they have not asked to see a paper copy of my expiring visa. But this last time at TSN the officer specifically asked to see the paper copy of my expiring visa & when I asked why he said he needed to reference it against what he had on his computer. Now I dont know how that might have an influence on someone who has entered the country on one e visa but actually has two in the system. I am probably reading too much into this but from experience if you luck out (& it can happen) & get a right bolshie officer at the desk or even one who gets a little bit confused you could end up in a difficult situation especially if they are calling your flight Just gotta hope your second one comes through or is frozen in the system & you end up entering & exiting on the same visa.
Hey Aidan and Goodolboy
Just to update that I have got my 2nd visa today.
That was a close call, arrived 3.5 days later. I can fly to Vietnam and enjoy the pho now 😁

Good stuff!
Enjoy your couple of weeks here, stress free
Ah well thats another e visa run done today, # 6 by my calculations. Out of Vietnam & back in less than an hour. Moc Bai was very quiet today. 8 on the VIP bus, left D2 at about 7.30 & back by 1am. 110 USD total including e visa Vietnam & Cambodia, sorted for another month, cant be bad!!
Yipeeeeeeeeeee that's another e visa in the bag # 7 by my reckoning, off to Moc Bai Saturday on the organised bus with my well trusted & friendly Visa Agent. E Visa Vietnam, E Visa Cambodia, breakfast & agent rep does everything for us at the border great deal 110usd all in.
You know something if this turns out to be the last monthly Visa run I will sort of miss it, cos I met all sorts of nice people on the Visa runs including a couple of Russian "English Teachers" who I must admit it was quite difficult to actually communicate with in English & a very nice lady tourist from beside Bordeaux France where I used to live.

Na Zdorovie
Another Moc Bai run completed. Not so fast turnaround this time, lot more people at the border but still a great service & back at D2 by 1.30 pm.
