Itau banking

Post new topic

sheilas16

Hello,

I lived in BH and moved home in 2019.   I never closed my bank account at Itau.  I would like to close it.   Is it possible to close it from the USA or do I need to close it in person?

thanks!

In person, unless you have someone with a power of attorney.

It took me a very long time to close my itau account, even in Brazil. Good luck!

I just closed my Itau accounts, face-to-face. Once I got to a human, I was done, including having my money transfered to my Santander account, in about 15 minutes. I liked Itau, and I always had great people in the branches. However, their App is awful, and they have no customer service to help you out without going into a branch, not easy to do when I'm back in the USA.
