Post new topic

Hi all!

I'm moving to Saudi in the next week, I was thinking of doing a initial 6 months in a air b&b and was wondering if this was okay? Would this have any implications if I wanted to lease a car etc?

Any help would be amazing :)

Hello Gaurav

I believe that you can rent monthly through airbnb in Saudi without any problem, as long as you are in agreement with the landlord/ the advertiser.

Renting a car does not require a permanent address, I believe that you can rent without a problem.

Also check the property ads in here Expat.com, you will find apartments that are offered for a monthly contract as well.

If you want to do it without airbnb, the process is very safe as it is compulsory to do everything through an electronic governmental process on Ejarah website for renting in Saudi.

Good luck with your search, if you need any help please ask.

@bothaina87 Thank you :)

I am really considering using Air BnB as it seems simpler and I have found a few which are really good in price and are near my new work place!  So from your message if I use a Air BnB i should be able to lease a car no problem.

Any other website you would recommend for looking at apartments to rent?

@gauravkalair the most popular property website among Saudi citizens is https://sa.aqar.fmI think it is only in Arabic, but it has the majorty of property advertisements in the area. my suggestion is: go on the website, search using the map, if you found any suitable apartment, contact the owner/advertiser through the website, write to them in English it doesn’t matter, they will get back to you and you can negotiate it with them.but make sure everything go through the govermental process for rental, we use Ejarah system to do it. good luck
