Post new topic

I want to relocate to Kenya from the US as a retiree.  I can satisfy all of the requirements except for Line 25. on Form 25, where it requests "Proposed place of residence (give details of physical address)".  I do not have an address.  I do not have any relatives in Kenya.  What do I do.

If no one answers any better I suggest you enter the name of a well known hotel which would be understood as a temporary address until you find somehere to live.

You can still get the visa in kenya.establish residence and get a postal address.very simple process.a visitors visa will allow you entry though you can get at least one month visa on arrival at the airport

Hello. Is there a lawyer someone can receommend for a Class K visa application?

Eric Cn

Begin with a tourist visa for a start, 1 month visa/3 weeks. Fill in a reputable hotel which you can cancel after a few days or a week and move to a cheaper Airbnb. Register a company, buy land through a lawyer which you'll use in your application as residence. You don't have to buy the expensive ones, an acre-2 of land in Kajiado/ngong as an example for a start which you can sell later once you find your retirement place. Land sites are buyrentkenya.com for affordable-expensive land. Pamgolding and knightfrank for the posh varieties. Always use a lawyer for asset purchases especially land. You can find a good, affordable lawyer but it takes time. For a start you can start with  fmlawadvocates.co.ke/

as you get your way around. Karibu Kenya! Feel free to enquire about additional info you might require.

Just to note, you don't need to buy land as a condition for obtaining a Class K Permit.  Neither would you need to start by booking into a reputable hotel.  There are plenty of options for renting an apartment, or similar for 6 months or more, which would most likely be cheaper than an Airbnb.
