Stuck in US after D7 interview

Have to first admit I went about it backwards. Early August moved to Portugal in an 8 month lease to check it out. Hired an attorney in Lisbon to start the process and another in Albufeira to purchase an apartment. April flew back to Park City Utah with a May interview appointment in San Francisco. Informed it would be 3 to 4 months for a response. Seems rather insane the process couldn't be done in Portugal without flying 18,000 km round trip. Now I'm missing what could be the whole summer before my return 😕
