Dear Community,

I hope this post finds everyone well. I'm writing to you all today as I am in the process of planning my retirement in the beautiful island nation of Mauritius and am seeking advice on feasible investment projects within the country.

Having spent much of my career engrossed in various business sectors, I am now on the hunt for lucrative investment opportunities in Mauritius. My particular interest lies in the fields of Tourism and Construction, owing to the burgeoning growth of these sectors within the island, the potential for sustainable development, and my own personal background and interests.

However, I am not limited to these sectors and remain open to exploring any promising venture that would allow for a mutually beneficial partnership. The main criteria I am looking for are sustainability, profitability, and positive societal impact. In short, I am interested in projects that are not only financially viable but also contribute to the local economy and improve the lives of Mauritian residents.

In this regard, I kindly request that anyone with experience in these areas, suggestions for potential projects, or advice on navigating the local business landscape, to please share their insights. Moreover, if you are directly involved with an initiative that could use a partner or an investor, I would love to hear more about it.

Finally, please know that I am eager to learn about the Mauritian culture, norms, and business etiquette as part of this exciting journey. Any additional resources or guidance in this regard would be deeply appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your advice and guidance. I look forward to engaging in enriching discussions with all of you and potentially forging new partnerships that would contribute to the thriving Mauritian economy.

Best regards,

Regina

Hello Regina,

I just read the whole of your message and first f all you made the right decision by relocating to Mauritius just like i did from Canada. I was born in Mauritius though and after Uk and Canada i realised there are more things i could do hence why i decided to come back and focus my time and energy and skills in this beautiful island.

In regards to investment opportunities, tourisms and properties are one of the best ones and very lucrative and if you have some connections you will be able to tap into this market very easily. This is one area i can help advising you on further among others if you would like and at the same time growing my network like i am doing daily since i just came back as well:)

I look forward to hearing from you soon

Regards

Hi Regina,

I wanted to extend my congratulations on your decision to move to Mauritius. It's a remarkable country known for its beauty, friendly people, and abundant opportunities for those who are willing to put in the effort.

Having lived here for nine years, I have had the pleasure of assisting numerous individuals in establishing businesses and structures. Currently, I have a client who is looking to sell his shares in a mobile car and house cleaning service.

Although the company has recently started operations, the main shareholder is unable to be physically present in Mauritius to employ and manage staff. This situation has prompted the consideration of a potential collaboration or an outright buyout.

The company currently possesses eight electric mobile steam and high-pressure vehicles, which are utilized for various tasks such as car washing, cleaning walls, driveways, and dustbins, among others. It is a registered and operational business with existing assets and a bank account. However, it is not operating at full capacity yet, as the owner needs to be present to oversee staff employment and management. Several agreements are in place to commence operations as soon as the management aspect is sorted out.

If this opportunity piques your interest, please feel free to message me, and I can facilitate contact between you and the owner for further discussions.

Best regards,

Hello Regina,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Clifford Kifun and I am base in the UK . I have had many business ideas which I forecast in Mauritius but with the initial start from my own finance to build a sustainable and profitable business, which I never materialised . I have spent 20 years in Mauritius trying build one project after another and all of the projects are sustainable, viable and most of all profitable, but it was all doomed to fail. I have learnt a lot about the way of life after living their for 20 years.

I am an engineer by profession and qualified in the UK. I have constructed many things which the governing body disagrees with and till today it is still standing and the evidences is there but had to curtail the progression due to the regulations has not been approved.

I have a project in which you or may not consider but that needs to be discuss in person rather on paper to start. You are probably more comfortable with the administration and the meeting than me as I am more the practical and scientific person and may be we could complement each other.

I shall be returning to Mauritius toward the end of this month due to having some problem at my property during my absent. Feel free to communicate with me via email : [***] if you want to know more about my projects.

Kindest Regards

Dear Regina

Would you be interested in an educational project based on the island that will nurture youth talent, transitional skills and empowerment leadership in adults? Our aim is to upskill local residents and build young people's entrepreneurial skills and mindsets. The project also offers a service not currently available on the island for the huge wave of South African families coming to Mauritius to live and bring up their families in safety.

I would be very keen to speak to you if you are interested to listen? I too am looking to work on this project to eventually retire to the island.
