Golden Visa - AFM/E1

Post new topic

Liam0918

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone can clarify my 2 questions about the golden visa application?

  1. AFM (9-digit tax ID). It's said that only principal applicant will get the AFM and her/his spouse will not. So how can the person without AFM take part in the driving license examination? Can the spouse of the principal applicant apply the AFM as well?
  2. E1 form (personal income tax form). If the golden visa holder has 0 income, will she/he have to submit the E1 form annually?

Your answers would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Liam

@Liam0918 If you own property here,house/apartment or land or car you must give in tax returns to your accountant every year,we pay 40 euro for the two of us,its a joint return.Your accountant will do everything on the paper and say...no income....in the required boxes. The KEP office in your area will explain to you about driving exam and tax number and your driving school, probably you will need to get a tax number for the other person, its quite painless, easy. If you receive a pension into a Greek bank account then there is a special box on the tax paper where it must be stated but as in my case its a box for non taxable income from the British government by way of pension which is non taxable here,it gets complicated.Instead of a pay rise my husband receives each year a kind of card loaded with x amount of money to use in supermarkets but the tax office wants to tax that and so each year like now they demand x amount of tax to be paid in installments each month or one off payment, there is no escape.Gestapo....our accountant told us....stop keep using your bank cards by way of payment, use cash as the tax office sometimes say your card payments are larger than that which you declare each year....its unbelievable, the amount of spying on you....

@concertina Thanks a million for your prompt response. It really helps. I will check with KEP for driving licenses issue.

Wish you all the best and cheers,
