Flat Roof - Leaking

Hi we had a flat roof put on the extension of our house.  It is a large area which we wanted to use to relax and watch the beautiful Rive Danube!  We had this covered in a clear sealer I will call it as not sure of name.  However we now find that there are parts leaking through.  We have been recommended to add an apex roof over this or find another sealer.  Does anyone have had this sort of experience?

I have a small porch area which I enclosed (new walls, window, door, but same roof). This has a simple flat concrete roof. I put traditional bitumen sheet waterproofing (torch-applied) on it, and it's fine. I think this option is very common, and pretty effective from a waterproofing perspective. Might be worth trying just to see if that fixes the leaking.

However, I'm not sure how durable it is if you want to have a frequently used roof terrace. If you want to finish with a tiled floor, you'd probably need a different solution. However, some kind of floating floor (rubber/plastic supports with teak-effect composite terracing tiles, say) on top would almost certainly be OK.

An apex roof is also very good against water, but very hard to sit on. :-)
