Distance learning and SCE verification?

Assalam O Alaikum


I'm currently working in the field of AutoCAD and I have around 3 years of experience. However, I do not have any degree and my current profession is unrelated to my field.

For a while, I have been planning to study online and get a diploma in the related field, however, it has come to my attention that SCE does not accept degrees obtained through online education, is this true?

I'm well aware that if I were to bring my wife on a family visa they won't accept my degree which is obtained online. I don't have any issues with this right now, as I only want to get my profession changed.

I'm from India and found a couple of institutes that offer online courses, but I just want to confirm the verification with SCE before proceeding further.

Can anyone provide information or advice on what other alternative is there?
