Importing a cat (or dog) to jakarta

Hello,

I am looking to bring my cat to Jakarta, as I will be moving there as an expat. I am french and the cat was borne in France.

I have read in some websites that it would not be possible because France is not on the list of rabbies free countries. However, I contacted the Indonesian embassy in France and they are telling me it is possible. Does someone know if the rabbies-free country rule still apply?

The rule for cats seam to be the same as for dog. Has one of you imported his pet to Jakarta? thanks

@Bhavna

Thanks. IT seems they only offer services to transport the pet. We want to make sure it is possible to bring

our cats to Jakarta safely and with no quarantine (or home

quarantine).

Does anyone know people who provide services to help us handle the paper work? It seems

that we are supposed to ask the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture for

an authorisation, but the site is all in Indonesian. We are looking

for someone who can help us with the import permit paper work.

Hello Jonathan,
