Vehicle Fitness Test

GuestPoster369

Hi

I am taking in my vehicle for a fitness test soon, and wondered how rigorous the test is.

For example, should I fit new wiper blades?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

John

They will check for working/undamaged headlights, braking lights, turn signal, oil/hydraulic leaks.

Ensure that your brakes work on each wheel (a faulty piston on a single wheel can mean failing the test).

I normally outsource.  There are people who will do that for around Rs.1500 (local mechanic shop ?)

Way less hassle.

Cheers.

How did the vehicle fitness test go John ?

Did you take the vehicle to Curepipe ?

How often does this have to be done ?

What are the costs involved and the waiting time at the facility ?

Did they check only what @vasoov said or more items ?

@Ceresiet  Thanks for your message.

i’m very pleased to say that the test at the Curepipe went very smoothly.

They appeared to check everything that you would expect, tyres, lights, exhaust system etc.

Overall, it wasn’t a hassle at all.

Best wishes, John
