Anyone knows what is the average time for a Qatar ID to be issued, are we talking about a week or possibly several weeks?

mayhemqatar

After your arrival with a work visa, it will take about 1 week to 10 days to do the fingerprints and the medical, if nothing comes out.

Hope this helps

@mayhemqatar Hello. Is the process same for the people who have already given their biometrics in their respective country QVC?

My biometrics such as fingerprints, iris scan is already done.

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, it is. But one thing you might need to do, depending on your profession, is obtain a police report from your home country, certified by the Qatar embassy in your home country before coming, as it may be required for some professions.

@mayhemqatar Thank you for the response. Yes, PCC is needed and the documents needs to be attested by the ministry of external affairs and then by Qatar embassy too. Have got it 😅..

mayhemqatar

good luck.

@mayhemqatar Hey. Just an update.

People who have already provided the biometrics and have done the medical in their respective countries through the QVC’s, they will get the QID without visiting any Govt. Offices.

I got my QID within 4 days after entering Qatar.

No need to give biometrics or go through the medical again.

Thanks!!
