Cancellation of Employment Pass

Hi All,

My organisation is not renewing my contract. My contract is based on the renewal of Employment Pass. My Employment Pass expires on 21st August 2023 and I am planning to book a flight back to my country on 20th August 2023. I asked from my HR if they need to cancel my EP as it is a mandatory act from the employer's side. While they are giving me tax clearance et Al but they are saying that they do not need to cancel my EP as the expiry date is 21st August 2023 and I am leaving the country on 20 th August. Let me know if my organisation is doing the right thing as I don't want my future prospects for visiting Malaysia for tourism or job to be hampered.
