Working Visas in Kenya

Hello everyone,

I am a canadian looking to move to kenya for the possibilty of 1 year (maybe up to 2 years if possible). I am moving with my Kenyan boyfriend who is currently living here.

I have looked on the internet for information on Working Visa applications. One thing is clear...I need a job before I apply. I wanted to know the likely hood of getting the working visa? How long the process takes etc...questions I can't find on the internet. The application forms seem so easy but I heard it could be a nightmare!

Otherwise, can I go on a tourist visa and apply while in Kenya? Or do I need to do it before entry into the country?

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

By the way...I am looking for a structural Engineering job...and since his family is there now, they looking around for me, and the prospects look good!
