Final Exit Visa Inquiry

stitchesinmyhead

As I was hired to work in the UK, I requested my current employer not to renew my contract. As a result of my non-renewal, my employer accepted it and a return ticket was provided.

The sponsorship certificate is already being processed by my upcoming employer, and the working visa should be ready in 2-3 weeks. I asked my current employer to cancel the return flight since the new employer would cover the cost. Despite this, my current employer refused to cancel the ticket and instructed me to leave the country on the day of departure.

If I don’t show up on the flight date, what are the legal consequences? Will I be able to fly straight to the UK?

There is no intention of staying illegally in the country, and I intend to leave before the final visa expires with or without the new UK working visa.
